What if church were different?

What if church were different? What if it wasn’t just an empty building 6 days out of the week? What if it was known for serving the community? What if it were different?

Throughout history the church has been known for being connected to violence, influenced by political positions, excluding of people based on their race, status, or financial position. In short, it has been reduced to a place that is known for what it stands against instead of what it stands for. What if it were different?

As we have wrestled with this challenge the first question is, “How is it different?” Through months of wrestling with this question our conclusion is that maybe what needs to change isn’t what necessarily takes place on Sunday or in worship gatherings, but what needs to change is our perspective toward what church could be.

We by no means think we have figured something out, but more so believe this is something to wrestle with and that churches should be wrestling with these questions across the world. We hope to see people across the world become united by a common purpose, experience, and belief so church can become different than what we see today.

We would love to meet you at our next Sunday worship gathering...
