Why the Bible?
The Bible is God’s Word to all of humanity. It was written by human authors, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and without error. It is the final source of authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
Who is God?
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit-co-eternal in being, co-eternal in nature, co-equal in power and glory, having the same attributes and perfections.
What happened to humanity?
We live in a day when the pain of humanity is constantly before us and this problem goes all the way back to sin when it first entered humanity and resulted not only in physical death but also spiritual death and eternally separated us from God.
Being made in the image of God and the supreme object of His creation He responded to our condition by sending His one and only Son to enter into creation, live a life of perfection, and willingly lay down His life on the cross to take our physical and spiritual death upon Himself and resurrected from the dead.
Who is Jesus?
Jesus Christ was not only a good man and a good teacher, but is also the eternal Son of God, born of the virgin Mary, who stepped out of the heavens to enter into humanity and was found to be without sin. In obedience to the Father, He offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for all sin by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to heaven and today intercedes on our behalf, as our advocate, and will return again to earth to reign as King of Kings, and Lord of Lords.
Who is the Holy Spirit?
The Holy Spirit is equal to the Father and the Son and is the Supernatural change agent who makes us aware of our need for Jesus Christ; as well as leads us to righteousness, and judgment. Through faith in Jesus Christ’ death, burial, and resurrection we are sealed and gifted by the Holy Spirit to participate in the eternal story of redemption.
Why church?
The church consists of all who have been reconciled through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The church is not something we go to, nor is it something we do. Instead, the church is something we are. It exists to serve all people and bring adoration to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
